Life Care Center of Acton, Massachusetts, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The CMS ratings system is designed to assist the public in choosing care for their loved ones. It calculates the ratings based on results of health inspections, staffing and quality measures (including pain management, pressure ulcers, weight loss and falls).
“Our team was thrilled to receive the recognition for the high level of care we provide,” said Chris Foye, executive director. “This is the culmination of many team members’ hard work – we were proud to share the news with the entire building.”
Foye attributed part of that success to the teamwork between the center’s on-site physicians and the clinical team.
The rating was official on Oct. 26, 2016.
“Life Care Center of Acton is already well known in the community for its excellent staff and quality services provided to the elderly population,” said Alain Bernard, vice president of parent company Life Care Centers of America’s Walden Region, which encompasses nine buildings in the Northeast. “The five-star rating, using national standards, further distinguishes it as a facility of excellence.”
